Costantini: the secret lies in a massive dosage of Thiamine. Parkinson suffers a terrible strik

“A patient arrived in my surgery afflicted by a very severe ulcerative intestinal disturbs. She suffered diarrhea attacks five times a day and five times a night. She was devastated. The worst symptom was chronic exhaustion; the kind of tiredness that one feels from the moment they wake up. The afflicted also suffered from tachycardia, pain in her feet, cramps, insomnia and a particularly irritable character”.

This is how doctor Antonio Costantini begins his story, as he speaks with a passion of one who is aware of having reached important results in his field. In this case, a way to contrast a terrible enemy to mankind: Parkinson’s disease.

I meet him on the slopes of the Monti Cimini, within his surgery of Villa Immacolata, in San Martino al Cimino, 5 kilometers from Viterbo.

I don’t have time to let myself be charmed by the rich scenery I can glimpse through the trees atop the mountain, Viterbo remaining one of the most beautiful cities of central Italy.

Doctor Costantini is overwhelming. He is a gentle doctor, but is full of passion towards the cure of the ill to whom he dedicates the majority of his time.

He is a tumultuous river when he speaks of his experiences of the past couple of years concerning his work towards the cure of neurodegenerative illnesses such as the infamous Parkinson’s disease. The other afflictions, however, are just as vivid in doctor Costantini’s memory. All of them caused by a deficiency of the Vitamin B1.

Doctor Costantini, for example, mentions Beri Beri. It’s a malnutrition illness caused by a chronic lack of Thiamine. This pathology is particularly widespread among oriental populations whose diet is predominantly based around rice, where the Thiamine is lost following the process of preparation undergone by the cereal.

Doctor Costantini says: “Thiamine is fundamental to our body in order to burn sugar; it acts as a spark in the engine, as lubrificant and carburator. It plays a vital role for our organism”.

It has been calcolated that one billion people suffer from chronic exhaustion connected to these diseases. “All the autoimmune diseases – he reminds– have chronic exhaustion as symptom: in 40 to 80% of the cases: multiple sclerosis, rheumatic diseases, thyroiditis, ulcerative illnesses.”.

Doctor Costantini remembers that helping his very first patient, afflicted by an acute ulcerative, set him on the path towards countering Parkinson’s disease. He advised her to inject herself with two mg of Thiamine per week. In the first 15 days of the therapy the patient was relieved of exhaustion, irritability, pain in her feet and calves – says doctor Costantini- Why is this? Because there is no medicine or drug that is able to affect all of the organs, whereas all of the organs function thanks to Thiamine. An important detail, adds doctor Costantini, “the Thiamine therapy brings no collateral damage with time”.

The progress made with patients afflicted by chronic ulcerative, multiple sclerosis and other similar pathologies, pushed doctor Costantini and his team to continue their research on patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s is a slow but steady neurodegenerative disease that predominantly affects important functions, such as the control of movement and balance. It’s caused by gradual death of the neurons situated in the so called “gray matterin a small area of the brain.

The disease afflicts people of every ethnicity all around the world. It is estimated that 300.000 people suffer from Parkinson’s disease in Italy. It can be found in both sexes and normally begins around the age of 60.

However, it seems as though it can begin much earlier: 1 in 4 patient is younger than 50 years old. The main symptoms of Parkinson’s are tremors when in a relaxed state, rigidity, postural instability, therefore loss of balance and invalidity.

This terrible illness is named after James Parkinson, an English surgeon in the XIX century, who first describe the majority of the symptoms in a famous pamphlet published in 1817 called  “An Essay on the Shaking Palsy”.

Having intuited that Parkinson’s may be contrasted with the assumption of Thiamine, doctor Costantini faced the issue of determining the necessary dosage to be administered to patients. Thus he sends the blood samples of twelve patients under his care, to the first surgeon of Bracco Italia, doctor Renzo Grossi, so that he may carry out analysis concerning the supplements of Thiamine in their organism. A type of analysis that is rarely done in Italy.

The serendipitous results showed the patients to have more than enough Thiamine in their organisms,  more than a healthy person. “In 2011 our team was working with dosages based on the body weight: 60 Kg corresponded to 600mg of vitamin B1, to be taken orally and yielding marvelous results: the elimination of exhaustion and all the symptoms that accompany it”.

In short: the use of massive doses of Thiamine forced the organism to find normality.

“Normality was found in this abundance. Thus- explains doctor Costantini- the therapy based on high doses of Vitamin B1 eliminated exhaustion and the neurological deficit. Of course, beyond a period of 20 or 30 years, it was impossible to eliminate the disease entirely. However an important part could. Furthermore we have demonstrated that the effect of Thiamine can persist through time and that the neurological symptoms and exhaustion are due to an alteration of the metabolism of the Thiamine”.

Doctor Costantini has followed 250 patients since 2011. This corresponds to an important part of Parkinson’s patients of Viterbo, who all flocked to the doctor having heard of his efforts through word of mouth. In many cases they had spent incredible amounts of money before turning to the Doctor, thus reaching, in some cases, extraordinary results.

Over the course of the last couple of years there has been an abundance of controversy surrounding the announcing of various miraculous cures. The case of the professor Di Bella and, more recently, everything revolving around the Stamina case, should advise to pay particular care.

It’s doctor Costantini himself that chooses to maintain a balanced profile about his discovery and methods. He deliberately avoided initiating a promotional campaign. He chose not to patent his results because he refuses to ‘’speculate’’ on devastating illnesses such as these. He accepted scientific verification and sent his findings to specialized magazines and participated in conferences where he allowed colleagues and experts to examine his work.

Doctor Costantini lets the facts speak for themselves. He has allowed us access to the results of his research and the videos of his patients with their agreement.

We later interviewed a number of them. In the ‘video’ sections of this special it is possible to listen to these patients speak without any mediation.
